Proud is the equality group representing lesbian, gay, bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) members within the Public and Comercial Services Union (PCS). The PCS union represents Civil Servants across all government departments and outsourced workers in the commercial sector. We in Proud aim to support all LGBT members in the workplace and offer support and training to help those members tackle any problems they may face around their sexuality. PCS as a union has always been firmly committed to Equality and Diversity, and has actively campaigned on behalf of members in minority groups and communities, including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. The group has a National Committee with reps organising in every region / country of the UK.
