I work in Inland Revenue Contact Centre Belfast.

Our membership throughout Northern Ireland is growing. I can honestly say that Proud people are great! The group is very friendly and supportive; people are always up for a bit of craic.

As well as acting as Northern Ireland regional Rep for PCS Proud I volunteer for several local LGBT groups, primarily Queer Space, Belfast Pride, Coalition on Sexual Orientation, and Belfast Out Resource Centre.

The Queer Space web site is great for up to date information on events organised by and for the Northern Ireland Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans Community check it out at www.queerspace.org.uk

I would encourage you to get involved in PCS Proud at whatever level you want to. It’s an overused cliché but it’s very true ‘Proud is as good as you make it’.

We know that harassment and discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans workers is all too common, even though it’s now against the law. PCS Proud is working to ensure that the law is properly implemented, we offer members practical help and advice. We aim to support people through social activities.

Help us make Proud relevant to you needs, we welcome new people, ideas and suggestions so get in touch and get involved.
